Ten hardy golfers overcame cool, windy, rainy conditions to post some excellent scores in the first Vegas event of 2007, on Saturday June 22. Two teams tied for the championship with a score of one-over-par. Post-game analysis was conducted over refreshments, and it was noted, by some, that the female golfers were instrumental in achieving good results. Some of the men wondered if this was so. Consequently, for our next event, the theme will be “Battle of the Sexes”. Entrants will be assigned to 2-person teams, male or female; the format will still be Vegas best-ball, except with just 2 people on each team. Teams will be paired off to make up foursomes. It will be interesting to see how the male teams fare versus the females. Maybe some wagers on the side?
