Opening Tea July 2006
Sunday, July 2, 2006 -The
Club is "Open"
Our
recently fickle North Hatley weather behaved long enough for the
Opening Tea to be held Sunday in delightful sunshine.
Generations gathered yesterday on the porch of the club to
celebrate the beginning of another North Hatley summer.
Pictured here are Charlotte and Libby, 364 days apart in age and
the future of the club. President Doug Mitchell welcomed one
and all, including four new member families, three of whom were
in attendance. We have staff in place and programs have been
created and now all we need is the sun and no more rain!
Standing on the lawn to deliver his remarks, Doug promised the
beach would eventually come back and the docks would rise above
the water!
