The Lively Lecture, Wednesday, August 2nd

The first Lively Lecture of the summer was held on August 2nd at 5PM.  Over 75 people braved the weather to hear Graham Fraser talk about his book "Sorry, I don't Speak French".  Molly Fripp introduced Norman Webster and Graham Fraser and then Norman spoke about his association with Graham and how he assigned Graham to Quebec which he believes was the root of Graham's book.  Norman also shared some of his favorite quotes from the book.

Graham is a writer for the Toronto Star and an adjunct professor in Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communication.  He was the first recipient of the Hyman Solomon Award for Excellence in Public Policy Journalism in 1992.  Graham and his wife, Barbara, are members of the North Hatley Club and can be seen often with their grandchildren on the club beach.

Thank you to Graham and to Norman Webster for providing us with a most interesting and, for many of us,  eye opening experience.
